Scenic Guided Trips on Horseback by Meeteetse,
Wyoming

The Stuart Creek camp is the base camp for this trip at about 8,600 ft of elevation. A variety of trips
can be arranged along Greybull River that
would bring you to the very scenic Washakie Wilderness in the Shoshone National Forest
where you are able to view wildlife such as Elk, Moose, Bighorn Mountain Sheep and Wolfs.
Ride gentle mountain horses 3-4 hours a day on easy trails past clear streams and tall, snow-covered granite peaks. The clean comfortable camp consists of wall tents with cots and mattresses, cook tent,
dining tent, bathroom tent and even a hot shower tent!
Excellent meals are prepared by the camp cook,
from Steak to BBQ ribs on open fire and of course fresh Mountain
Trout fished during your stay.

In Cody or Meeteetse at one of the Motels or Hotels |

Meet with the outfitter in Meeteetse and drive to the Jack Creek Trail
Head |

Enjoy the spectacular views while we are driving |

Start your trip at the Trail Head |

· |
After a short introduction about the trip and your horse, get ready for
the ride |

· |
Ride all afternoon to "the Base Camp at Stuart Creek"
and get settled in camp |
|
· |
Opportunity to fly-fish at the river |
|
|
|
Day 2-4 |
· |
Stuart Creek Camp - either Anderson Creek, Venus Creek, Irish
Rock, Mable Mountain |
|
· |
After breakfast, saddle up and get ready for your ride |
|
· |
Enjoy the breathtaking view of the Absaroka Mountains
where the tops of the mountains are still covered with snow |
|
· |
View the wildlife such as Moose, Deer, and Elk on your
way |
|
· |
Lunch and refreshments will be provided whenever you get
hungry! |
|
· |
Opportunity to fly-fish |
|
· |
Ride back to camp and relax at the campfire and a home-cooked
dinner |
|
|
|
Day 5 |
· |
Stuart Creek Camp - Jack Creek Trail Head |
|
· |
After breakfast, saddle up one last time, head out and enjoy the
beautiful trail |
|
· |
Take a break for lunch at the lake and sit back and
relax |
|
· |
Opportunity to fly-fish |
|
· |
After lunch, head back to the trail head |
|
· |
End of the trip but time for a cool drink or drive to Cody and enjoy the
afternoon in downtown |
