Day 1
Morning |

Morning - Start your
trip in Buffalo, WY on the foot of the
beautiful Bighorn Mountains |

Visit downtown Buffalo and stroll along main street
where you will find nice and cozy shops. |

· |
Enjoy the history of
the American West at the Jim Gatchell
Museum at the corner of Main and Fort Street. |
| Afternoon |
· |
Drive along the scenic Highway 16
and enjoy the wonderful view to the Bighorn
Mountains including the highest peak (Cloud Peak
13.175 ft) |

· |
Stop at School House Park Rd, French Creek Rd or Elgin Park and take a deep breath,
because the view (depending on the weather) is spectacular! |

· |
Have a drink at the
historical Occidental Hotel bar. Ask the
bar tender to show you the back rooms and the Museum while you are there! |

Day 2
Morning |
· |
Morning - After
Breakfast drive to one of the finest and historic ranches with Western Art Collection in
the Bighorn area The Bradford Brinton
Memorial. |

Later this morning drive to Sheridan and visit the famous Kings Saddlery where you will find
everything for the horseman. Dont miss the 2nd part of the store
(you need to cross the street) and discover the saddle
museum where you will find all kinds of different saddles. Ask the friendly
staff about the tooling craftsman
ship art work hidden in the saddle
museum. |

Drive back to
Buffalo and have a good tasting lunch in downtown Buffalo |
| Afternoon |
· |
Drive about 14 miles
South of Buffalo and visit the historic TA
Ranch, where the Johnson County Cattle war ended in 1892. Learn more about
that war and find the bullet wholes in the wall of the old horse barn! |
| Evening |
· |
Dinner at the TA Ranch including a 45 min video about the
details of The Johnson County Cattle
war, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid! |

Day 3
Morning |
· |
After
breakfast drive down South and visit the famous Hole
in the Wall Country. |

· |
Enjoy the scenic
drive and see the breathtaking so called
Red Wall it is about 70 miles long! |

For fit hikers: hike
down to the bottom of the canyon where the Outlaw
Caves are located. |
|
· |
Lunch could be
provided at the outlaw caves parking lot from where you will have a great view and fishing
is spectacular down at the Canyon. |

· |
On
your way back to Buffalo, stop at a typical Bar The Invasion Bar in Kaycee and have a
beer or two. |

· |
Drive back to
Buffalo and try the great Western food at Winchesters
Restaurant East of Buffalo |

Day 4
Morning |
· |
After breakfast
drive about 30 miles North of Buffalo and visit Fort
Phil Kearny located between Buffalo and Sheridan. Find out about the Wagon Box Fight and its history. |

Drive further on
gravel road to a hidden town called Story
where you will be served lunch at a very rustic but cozy restaurant. |
| Afternoon |
· |
Self
drive from Buffalo and further South and discover the Crazy Woman Canyon. Take a ride to
the beautiful very narrow Canyon. Drive all the way up and talk to a Sheepherder and real Cowboys on the mountain! |
| Evening |
· |
While on the
mountain stop at Pines Lodge or at South Fork Lodge" and
enjoy the Mountain atmosphere. |

This day is for
recreation. |

Rent a kayak and paddle along the shores of Lake de Smet or |

Rent a horse and go horseback riding in the Bighorn Mountains and
admire Moose, Deer or Elk from a short distance! Or |

Relax at the local swimming pool in downtown Buffalo or |
