Guided Horseback Trail Rides at Cloud Peak Wilderness Area
Bighorn Mountains, Wyoming

Day 1
Morning
· Start your trip in Buffalo, WY at the foot of the beautiful Bighorn Mountains.

· Visit downtown Buffalo and stroll along main street where you will find friendly and cozy shops
· Enjoy the history of the American West at the “Jim Gatchell” Museum at the corner of Main and Fort Street
Afternoon · Drive along the scenic Highway 16 and enjoy the wonderful view of the Bighorn Mountains
· Stop at a mountain lodge to get a cool drink and find time to relax
Overnight · At a mountain lodge

Day 2

· Lodge – Deer Lake (Base Camp)
· After Breakfast walk up to the horse corrals and get ready for your ride to Deer Lake
· After a short introduction and some general information about the trip – saddle up and enjoy the beautiful view of the Bighorn Mountains where the top of the mountains are still covered with snow.
· Lunch and refreshments will be provided whenever you will get hungry!
· Opportunity to fly-fish at one of the surrounded lakes
· After lunch ride back to camp and take a shower at the shower tent!
· Enjoy the evening with a campfire and a home cooked dinner

Day 3

· Deer Lake – Florence Lake
· After a hearty breakfast saddle up the horses and get ready to leave camp to ride up to “Florence Pass"
· Stop for lunch at “Florence Lake” (elevation 11.000 ft)
· Opportunity to hike (1,5 – 2 hrs) up to “Bomber Mountain” (13,000 ft) and find the of a World War II era bomber Plane wreck that’s still visible and take some great pictures from up there.
· View the wildlife such as moose, deer or elk on your way
· Opportunity to fly-fish or ride back to camp at Deer Lake and have a tasty supper

Day 4

· Deer Lake – Powell Lakes
· After breakfast saddle up the horses and get ready to ride to Powell Lakes
· View more wildlife and admire moose, deer or elk from a short distance
· Take a break for lunch and relax at one of the Lakes
· Opportunity to fly-fish some more
· After lunch head back to camp
· Unsaddle your horse and have a shower
· Dinner will be served and later that evening
· Enjoy the campfire and a good beer!

Day 5

· Deer Lake  - Seven Brothers Lakes
· After breakfast saddle up one last time and head out to Seven Brothers Lakes
· Enjoy the beautiful trail
· Take a break for lunch at the lake and sit back and relax
· Opportunity to fly-fish
· After lunch head back to the Lodge
· End of the trip but time for a cool drink or a good dinner at the Lodge, where the friendly staff will serve you a warm meal.
· Overnight at South Fork Inn
Important information: · Everything can be re-arranged and customized for YOUR needs!
· Kayak rental, fishing as well as camping equipment can be rented for an additional fee at the store
· Riders of all levels are welcome
· Fishing gear and equipment can be rented
· Maps can be purchased at the store and up to date information about the Bighorn Mountains can be obtained there.

Accommodations:

· At the mountain lodge, a family owned business that specializes in fishing and horseback riding overnight trips in the Bighorn Mountains. The Main Lodge and all cabins are nestled in the Pine trees at 7,800 ft of elevation. Two different types of cabins are available:
Rustic Cabins: · No running water but heat and electricity.  The bathhouse with all necessary facilities is nearby.
Modern Cabins: · Have running water and all necessary facilities in the cabin.

Tour includes:

· All accommodation 2 nights at the lodge and 3 nights at camp
· all meals
· wrangler and fishing guide
· horses and tack
Tour Package Price: · $ 1,130.00 per person

Optional tours:

· Rent a kayak and paddle along the beautiful “Tie Hack Reservoir” or
· take your fishing rod and go fishing at one of the trout streams or lakes or
· Rent a bike and discover Buffalo’s Clear Creek Trail or
· Go hiking in the Bighorn Mountains or Relax at the local swimming pool in downtown Buffalo or
· Play golf either at the Buffalo Golf Course in Buffalo or the Powder Horn Golf Club in Bighorn or
· enjoy the local rodeos in Buffalo, Kaycee, or Sheridan (only June, July and August – Rodeo schedule available)
